It’s important to make sure your home is winterized, even in Arizona.

We live in Arizona and we don’t think of Arizona as being a cold state. It’s extremely hot most of the time, and that’s how people think of us.

What people don’t realize is that about one-third of Arizona is covered by forests. Even in the desert, we are extremely prone to freezing temperatures in the wintertime.

When the temperature drops into the mid-twenties or lower, your property becomes susceptible to the risk of freezing pipes. When pipes freeze they can rupture, causing serious (and expensive!) damage, especially if you are below 3,000 or 4,000 ft. elevation.

Avoiding expensive repairs by properly insulating and winterizing will save you money in the long run.

This year, get a handyman or a plumber to inspect your home and make recommendations on how best to winterize your home. Properly insulating and winterizing your home will save you money in the long run.

If you have any questions about winterizing your home, just give me a call or send me an email.

If you are thinking of selling your home, I’d like to remind you that property values are at an eight-year high, and inventory and interest rates are low. Now is a great time to put your home on the market.

I look forward to hearing from you!
