The real estate world has gone through some trials in the last decade, and the crash of 2008 and 2009 led to a massive decline in home values. Our values were at an all time low in 2010, but they have risen tremendously every year since then and continue to climb. I always tell people to watch values, but this year in particular is a great time to sell your home.
We are either at or near a peak for values, so taking advantage of this year’s market could be very beneficial. In fact, I’ve personally sold two of my homes this year because I felt that the values were where I needed them to be to get what I wanted out of the properties, and the equity was higher.
